About the Bill
The South of Scotland Enterprise Bill was introduced by the Cabinet Secretary for the Rural Economy, Fergus Ewing MSP on 24 October 2018.
A Bill for an Act of the Scottish Parliament to establish South of Scotland Enterprise and to provide for its functions.
Current status of the bill
The Rural Economy and Connectivity Committee have launched a call for views and agreed its approach to the Bill at Stage 1.
The Rural Economy and Connectivity Committee are the lead Committee on the bill.
As with all bills, the Finance and Constitution Committee invites written evidence on the estimated financial implications of the Bill as set out in its accompanying Financial Memorandum (FM).

The deadline for submissions was 7 January 2019 and two responses were obtained:
