Human Tissue (Authorisation) (Scotland Bill) - call for views

The Committee issues a call for views on 28 June 2018. This will run until 4 September 2018.

The Committee is seeking views on the Human Tissue (Authorisation) (Scotland) Bill. Specifically the Committee is seeking views on the following questions:

 

  • What do you think are the key strengths and weaknesses of the proposals to introduce 'deemed authorisation' for those who have not made their wishes on organ donation known?
  • What do you think are the key strengths and weaknesses of the plans for authorisation of pre-death procedures?
  • Do you have any other comments to make on the Bill?

How to submit your views

The call for written views will close on 4 September 2018.

Before making a submission, please read our privacy notice about submitting your views to a Committee. This tells you about how we will process your personal data.

Please use the template provided to format your submission; this includes the Data Protection Form. If you are under twelve years of age we will need the consent of your parent or guardian. This consent can be provided using this form.

We welcome written views in English, Gaelic, Scots or any other language. Due to the time required to process and analyse evidence, late submissions will only be accepted with the agreement of the Committee.

Ideally submissions should be no more than four sides of A4.

If you cannot send your submission electronically you may send in a hard copy. If you choose to submit a hard copy of your submission please include the Data Protection Form along with your submission and send them to:
