Post-legislative Scrutiny: Biodiversity and Biodiversity Reporting Duties

 

About the inquiry

The Committee agreed at its meeting on 18 January 2018 to undertake Post-legislative scrutiny on the biodiversity and biodiversity reporting duties placed on public bodies by the Nature Conservation (Scotland) Act 2004 and the Wildlife and Natural Environment (Scotland) Act 2011.

Evidence

The Committee launched a call for written submissions with a deadline of Friday 23 March 2018.   

 

Oral evidence session - 31 May 2018

The committee took oral evidence from Scottish Natural Heritage, Scottish Environment Link, National Musuems of Scotland, RSPB Scotland, NHS Ayrshire and Arran and  Dundee City Council.

Oral evidence session - 7 June 2018

The committee took oral evidence from the Cabinet Secretary for the Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform, Hugh Dignon, Head of wildlife management and protected areas, Scottish Government and Sally Thomas, Scottish National Heritage.
