Kintore Runners Jog on for 100 hours in Wintry Conditions

  • Submitted by: Alexander Burnett, Aberdeenshire West, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 06 February 2019
  • Motion reference: S5M-15735

That the Parliament recognises the great efforts of the members of Jog Scotland Kintore who are participating in a 100-hour relay to raise money for two charities; acknowledges that the run started on 2 February 2019, with runners battling through dark, snowy conditions in aid of the north east charities, Kayleigh’s Wee Stars and the Gathimba Edwards Foundation; recognises that Kayleigh’s Wee Stars supports families who have a child with a terminal illness and that the Gathimba Edwards Foundation supports disadvantaged children in Africa, and thanks the runners for their charitable entry donations, and the supportive community of Kintore, in raising over £3,000, which will be split equally between the two charities.
