Small Business Saturday 2018

That the Parliament recognises that 1 December 2018 will mark the sixth Small Business Saturday; notes that this is a grassroots campaign that aims to highlight the success and importance of small businesses and encourage consumers to "shop local"; understands that, in 2017, customers in Fife and across the country spent an estimated £748 million with small businesses on the day, a 20% increase since 2015; notes the integral role that strong local economies play in communities; congratulates the FSB on its efforts to encourage the public to support local businesses, and calls on Members to back small businesses on the day and throughout the year.
