Funding Success for Landed Peer Support

That the Parliament congratulates the Wishaw-based peer education project, Landed, on being awarded funding of up to £300,000 from NHS Lanarkshire; notes that the project will receive £70,000 per year for three years with the potential to receive a further £30,000 each year; recognises that the project is a young person’s project that provides and promotes peer education services for younger people and service providers in Lanarkshire; notes that the funding will allow the project to deliver training sessions across the NHS Lanarkshire area in tobacco and e-cigarette awareness, cannabis and synthetic cannabis awareness, basic sexual health awareness and awareness around sexting; acknowledges other recent funding grants awarded by South Lanarkshire Drug Partnership, the Voluntary Action Fund and Big Lottery; recognises the hard work and commitment of everyone involved in the project, and wishes them well in their future endeavours.
