Own Your Street Inverness

  • Submitted by: John Finnie, Highlands and Islands, Scottish Green Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 14 June 2018
  • Motion reference: S5M-12795

That the Parliament welcomes the launch of the Own Your Street Inverness campaign; understands that it is a new grassroots campaign aiming to see at least 10% of the population of Inverness using the streets, parks, pavements and other outdoor areas on foot, scooter, bike or skateboard in the city for at least 20 minutes on 21 June 2018; believes that the campaign aims to see the Highland capital lead the way in making streets and outdoor spaces safe, friendly and enjoyable for people of all ages, incomes and abilities, whatever their motivation, and wishes the organisers and everyone who takes part well.
