St Mary’s Cathedral Receives Heritage Lottery Funding

That the Parliament welcomes the £74,600 of Heritage Lottery funding for St Mary’s Cathedral in Aberdeen; recognises that the cathedral was built in 1860 and has the only Catholic bell tower in Scotland; understands that the grant will be used to renovate and restore the roof of the B-listed cathedral, and wishes Hugh Gilbert, Bishop for the diocese of Aberdeen, and the Cathedral Church of St Mary’s well for the future.
