  • Submitted by: Alexander Burnett, Aberdeenshire West, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 12 December 2017
  • Motion reference: S5M-09497

That the Parliament congratulates The Oil & Gas Technology Centre, with BP Ventures as a partner, on the launch of TechX, which is a new technology accelerator that aims to invest millions  into start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises with no equity or payback required and with IP retained by the technology developer; notes that the new accelerator is targeting 100 technology start-ups; understands that TechX will focus on three types of developers and projects, which are pioneers, market entry and ventures, and wishes the project well in its aim of helping smaller technology developers take their solutions to the oil and gas market at a faster rate.
