Annie Wallace Nominated for Scottish BAFTAs

That the Parliament congratulates Annie Wallace on becoming the first transgender actor to be nominated for the Scottish BAFTAs; understands that Annie, who grew up in the heart of Aberdeen, has played the character of Sally St Claire since October 2015 on the well-established Channel 4 soap, Hollyoaks; notes that she has also received recognition at the National Diversity Awards, at which she was named the Celebrity of the Year; commends all efforts taken to promote diversity and equality, and wishes Annie every success at the Scottish BAFTAs, which take place on 6 November 2016.
