Group: Communications and Research

The current practice for the Communications and Research group is:-

  • Continue to provide guidance to Members on the purchasing of translation and interpretation services (under the provision within the Expenses Scheme) in order to support the work of Members and ensure access for non- English speakers to their Members. (Public Information and Publications Team – Lead: Head of Public Information and Publications)
  • Continue to promote the SPCB’s Language policy and carry out a review of the policy on a three yearly basis. (Public Information and Publications Team – Lead: Head of Public Information and Publications)
  • Continue to ensure that information about the Parliament’s performance on equality issues is positively promoted through the appropriate media forums. (Media Relations Office – Lead: Head of Media Relations Office)
  • Continue to monitor the number of media enquiries with relevance to equality in the Parliament. (Media Relations Office – Lead: Head of Media Relations Office)
