Strategic Leadership Team

The Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) met once a month between April 2009 and January 2011.

It acted as the high level advisory group to the Clerk/Chief Executive and provided a forum for discussion of strategic issues which faced the Parliament as well as providing the main interface between the parliamentary staff organisation and the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body.

Its membership was the Clerk/Chief Executive (as chair), the Parliament’s three Assistant Clerk/Chief Executives and the Solicitor to the Parliament.

Following a restructuring of the Parliament's Senior Management structures, The Operational Management Group (OMG) and the Strategic Leadership Team were replaced by a single top tier management body, known as the Leadership Group . The Leadership Group met for the first time in January 2011.

The Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) agreed to make as much information available as is practicable and consistent with legal provisions (the minutes and, where appropriate, papers from its meetings). Some papers will not be published where, for example, publication would breach the Data Protection Act, where they no longer require to be held in line with our retention schedules, or where they are superseded by Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body papers.
