Salary Range: £25,626 to £31,770 per annum

The Scottish Parliament exists to define, debate, decide and legislate on issues of importance to the people of Scotland. It holds the Scottish Government to account and is answerable to the people of Scotland. Our IT team plays an essential role in allowing the business of the Parliament and its Members to function effectively.
Your new role
You will be joining the Infrastructure function in the Client Desktop Service Team who provide first and second line delivery of high quality, customer focussed support. Your role will be to ensure that effective IT Helpdesk support is provided to our customers in Holyrood, at remote offices and whilst on the move, with a focus on a high first time fix rate and customer satisfaction. The IT Helpdesk Specialist will be specialised in high quality IT Helpdesk support, co-ordinating the work of the IT Helpdesk and be the custodian of our knowledge base and processes
What you will need to succeed
You need to have at least three years of experience in providing excellent IT Helpdesk support, including the co-ordination of helpdesk staff and suppliers. Ideally you will also have a qualification in an IT related discipline. You will have excellent customer handling skills, be technically adept and possess strong written attention to detail skills. You will be expected to be highly organised and be skilled at multi-tasking.
