Do you agree that families of murder victims should be enabled to make funeral arrangements for their loved ones as soon as possible?

Would you support the idea of having a second post-mortem carried out independently to ensure families can say goodbye to their relatives without unnecessary delay?

Let families lay a loved one to rest so the can grieve

No victim of murder or their family should be left in limbo like this. Two independent post-mortem examinations can be carried out ASAP and the results passed onto the PFs office and to any defence lawyer when a person is charged. The victims body should be released to their fsmikieuthin days.

It is hard for most people to understand the need to bury our loved ones The thought that our relative is lying with no respect in a morgue is hard to live with On the other hand Police Scotland have a job to do Rules have a reason It does seem that an independent Post Mortem could be carried by someone from England Ireland or Wales They have no agenda I doubt they would cost more It would allow the defense of any person charged to feel they have achieved an independent Post Mortem It would allow the family to bury their loved one The defense could carry out any tests on the resulting blocks and slides resulting from a post mortem Good luck to this family I hope this works out for you

I totally agree the law in Scotland needs to change as families are not let grieve properly after the horrific deal of murder as they cannot Bury their family member until the accused legal team say they can. My childhood friends brother was murdered they were lucky as his body was released relatively quick but still longer than if it had been over the border in England or Wales.

perhaps some common sense and sensitivity should be applied for families in these positions
