A Day in the Life....

Andrew MacGregor - Business Analyst and Change Manager - Business Information Technology

As a Senior BA I’ve enjoyed supporting the delivery of several in-house developed business critical applications. I work with stakeholders across the Parliament to understand their requirements, design new applications, develop user-journeys and build use cases in Visual Studio Online. I work with our in-house developers to create and test applications and then undertake the change management to support their introduction. Change management is a big part of my role.

I get the chance to research innovative solutions to answer the questions posed by the business. I’ve had opportunities to further my own personal development including training on customer centric design, software testing and the attending conferences. I’ve then been able to apply these tools to the applications I’ve delivered.

The Scottish Parliament Business IT is a progressive environment. We use the latest technologies, tools and techniques to deliver the best service possible to our customers. I’ve been equipped to allow me to meet this objective and provide value end to end for customers.
